1.4.2.10. Adjustment of a pedal and/or lever of the parking brake system

1. Remove a back wheel.

2. Adjust a gap between blocks of the parking brake system (fig. 1.133).
3. Establish a back wheel.
Inhaling moment: 103 N · m (1,050 kgfs · cm).
4. Check the course of a pedal of the parking brake system (the parking brake system with the pedal drive).
Slowly pressing a pedal of the parking brake system against the stop, count the number of clicks.
The course of a pedal of the parking brake system makes 3–6 clicks at 300 N (31 kgfs).
5. Check the course of the lever of the parking brake system (the parking brake system with the lever drive)
Extending the lever of the parking brake system against the stop count the number of clicks.
The course of the lever of the parking brake system makes 6–9 clicks at 200 N (20 kgfs).

6. Adjust the course of a pedal of the parking brake system (the parking brake system with the lever drive) (fig. 1.132).
Drown a pedal of the parking brake system on 3 teeth to provide free space for implementation of the procedure of adjustment, and weaken a lock-nut.
Return a pedal of the parking brake system in a starting position.
Rotating an adjusting nut, bring the course of a pedal of the parking brake system to norm.
Drown a pedal of the parking brake system on 3 teeth to provide free space for implementation of the procedure of adjustment, and tighten a lock-nut.
Inhaling moment: 5.4 N · m (55 kgfs · cm).
Return a pedal of the parking brake system in a starting position.
Check whether the parking brake system works.
Make sure that the control lamp of 1 parking brake system lights up when pressing a pedal.
7. Adjust the course of the lever of the parking brake system (the parking brake system with the lever drive) (fig. 1.133).
Remove the top cover of the console.
Have a back air duct room 1.
Weaken a lock-nut and rotating an adjusting nut bring the lever course to norm.
Tighten a lock-nut.
Inhaling moment: 5.0 N · m (51 kgfs · cm).
Establish a back air duct number 1.
Establish the top cover of the console.
