2.1.9. Starter

The compact and easy starter of PS (the electric motor with a planetary reducer) is applied on all models. As the starter of PS has an anchor with square conductors in section, its surface is used as a collector, it allows to increase torque of a starter and to reduce its dimensional length. Instead of the winding of excitement used in a usual starter in a starter of PS two types of permanent magnets are used: main magnets and interpolar magnets. The main magnets and interpolar magnets are effectively placed to increase a magnetic flux and to reduce yoke length.
Unlike a winding of a rotor of a usual starter in which wires of round section are used in a starter of PS square conductors are applied. In such design of the characteristic which are reached by application of numerous rounds of wires of round section can be received without increase in weight. As a result the torque of a starter was increased, and the winding of a rotor became more compact. The surface of conductors of a winding of a rotor of square section is used as a collector owing to what the dimensional length of a starter of PS was reduced.

Instead of the windings of excitement used in a usual starter, the starter of PS has permanent magnets of two types: main magnets and interpolar magnets. The main and interpolar magnets are established in a yoke serially owing to what the magnetic flux generated between the main and interpolar magnets is added to a magnetic flux which is generated by the main magnets. In addition to increase in a magnetic flux, such design reduces the dimensional length of a yoke.
