Measure by a micrometer diameter of each conrod and radical neck in two mutually perpendicular planes, as shown in the figure 2.118.
Diameter of a radical neck – 54,988–55,000 mm.
Diameter of a conrod neck – 47,990–48,000 mm.
If values of diameters go beyond the specified limits, check gaps. If necessary replace a bent shaft. Check conrod and radical necks for conicity and ovality.
The maximum conicity and ovality – 0,003 mm.
