7.3.3.7. Check of a rotor

Check whether there is no break in an excitement winding.

By means of an ohmmeter measure resistance between contact rings (fig. 7.23).
Nominal resistance (in a "cold" state): 2,7–3,1 Ohms.
If resistance strives for infinity, i.e. the chain is opened, then replace a rotor.

Check whether there is no short circuit of a winding of excitement on "weight" (fig. 7.24).
By means of an ohmmeter measure resistance between a pole of a rotor and a contact ring.
If resistance is equal 0 (the chain is closed), then replace a rotor.
